It has been an interesting week for former Boston Celtics sharpshooter Ray Allen but it ends with the doors of the Basketball Hall of Fame opening for him and 12 other greats.

Allen and fellow players of the Celtics 2008 NBA Championship team are just not feeling the love. Even Doc Rivers can't can't them back together again. Alot of it stems from Allen's decision to sign with Miami.

Allen did his best to play nice during his acceptance speech.

"In my 12th year, I paired up with a couple of Hall of Famers in Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett," Allen said after the cheers quieted. "Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that I'd end up on that [title] stage."

The fact is, Ray Allen is one of the best three-point shoorters the game has ever seen. 2,973 of them - most in NBA history.

By the way, Paul Pierce sent along his congratulations to Allen during an ESPN show earlier in the week. Kevin Garnett tweeted out a message about Allen and the 2008 team. And, Celtics president Danny Ainge was in attendance for the ceremony in Springfield, Massachusetts.
