The Hampden Broncos came from 13 points down in the second half to win by eight in overtime, 58-50 over the Bangor Rams last night.

Bronco coach Russ Bartlett admitted after the game that he had to get his team's attention to pick up their defense in the second during a timeout - and his team  listened.

Bangor could muster just 10 points in the fourth quarter and in overtime Hampden outscored the Rams 10-2.

Jake Black scored four of those 10 points in OT and finished with a game high 15. Nick Gilpin added 14.

Bangor was led by Andrew Hillier with 14 points. Justin Smith and Trey Kenney each scored 12.

Hampden improves to 8-1. Bangor falls to 4-5.

On the girls side, Bangor beat Hampden 54-35. Cordelia Stewart scored 12, Mary Butler 10. The Broncos were led by Erin Murphy with 11 and Brooklyn Scott with 10.

Bangor is now 8-1, Hampden 4-4.
