Husson Defense Dominates, Eagles Win 20-10
Norwich was the preseason favorite to win the ECFC, but in the conference opener Husson sent a message that they want the to pspot in a 20-10 win.The Eagles defense dominated, holding the Cadets to just 134 total yards and 7 first downs. Stephan Dance led the defense with 14 tackles while Ellis Throckmorton added 11 and one of the teams three interceptions.
Freshman running back John Smith ignited the offense rushing for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns. Joe Seccareccia completed 12 of 20 passes for 172 yards.
Husson improves to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conferece. Next week they go on the road to play SUNY-Maritime.
