Husson Women Win, Men Fall To Badgers
On senior day at Newman Gymnasium Husson basketball teams got a split with the women beating Johnson State 80-55 while the men fell by a score of 101-95.Playing their final regular season home game Vicki McIntyre and Rebecca Young combined for 24 points and 14 rebounds to help the Eagles improve to 13-1 in North Atlantic Conference play this season.
Husson outscored the Badgers 26-13 in the second quarter and never looked back as they got a game high 15 points form Chandler Guerrette to go along with McIntyre's 14 and Young's 10.
Husson senior Trevon Butler scored 22 points and pulled down 8 rebounds but it was not enough as his Eagles took the 101-95 loss to Johnson State.
In a game that saw 15 lead changes the Eagles could never put the Badgers away and saw their conference record drop to 12-2.
Junior guard Raheem Anderson led the Eagles with 29 points including the 1,000th of his career.
