Dangerous road conditions after the weekend's winter weather caused a two-car crash that claimed the life of one man. Police say the driver was traveling too fast for road conditions.

State Trooper Dan Hanson says 19-year-old Marcus Bennett, originally from the town of Norway, was traveling east on the Center Minot Hill Road  around 9:45 Sunday morning when he lost control of his vehicle on a curve. It slid into the path of another vehicle driven by 51-year-old Donna Wallace of Minot. Bennett was taken to a local hospital where he later died. Wallace and a passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The preliminary investigation shows speed and road conditions were factors in the crash. Center Minot Hill Road, which was icy at the time of the crash, was closed for about 2 hours, as troopers investigated. State Police were assisted by Minot Fire & Rescue and United Ambulance Service.
