NY Mets shortstop Rueben Tejada, who suffered a broken leg Saturday from that nasty slide for Chase Utley, is one of three players on playoff rosters who played in Bangor at the Senior League World Series.

Tejeda, who was 16-years-old, played for the 2005 Latin America champion team from Panama that had a record of 2-2 at Mansfield Stadium in the SLWS that year.

Tejada was the starting shortstop and pitcher for Team Panama. At the plate he was 6-for-15 with three RBI and four runs scored. He pitched in their fourth game of pool play and took the loss.

NOTE:  Other SLWS alums include LA Dodgers closer Kenley Jones (Latin America, Curacao, 2003) and St. Louis Cards second baseman Kolten Wong (U-S West, Hawaii, 2007)
