The New England Patriots continue to lead the AFC standings, college football programs continue to fire coaches and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is a hot name.Several college football publications indicate the University of Florida is one program that is considering McDaniels to replace Will Mushchamp who will not be retained. McDaniels has been back with the Patriots for the last three years after serving as the Broncos head Coach and a one year stint as the Rams offensive coordinator. His college experience consists of working with Nick Saban at Michigan State as a graduate assistant from 1999-2000.

McDaniels is in San Diego preparing for the Patriots Sunday night game against the Chargers and has not commented on the reports. The University of Florida has remained tight lipped on the report as well.
