MDI Girls Beat John Bapst 56-45 [STATS]

Playing their 3rd game of the week, the MDI Girl's Basketball Team beat John Bapst 56-45 at the Cross Insurance Arena in Bangor on Friday night, January 10th.

MDI led 9-7 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 25-22 at the end of the 1st Half. The Trojans led 40-33 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by Lily Norwood who had 15 points, including 4 3-pointers. Calleigh Trenholm had a career high 12 points, including 2 3-pointes. Mia Shaw had 11 points including a 3-pointer and Lexi Tozier had 10 points. Ella Watson had a 3-pointer. MDI was 10-18 from the free throw line, including going 7-12 in the 4th Quarter.

John Bapst was led by Claire Gaetani who had a game-high 20 points, including 1 3-pointer. Stella Goetz finished with 14 points. Maddie Peters had a 3-pointer. The Crusaders were 3-6 from the free throw line.

The Crusaders are now 5-4. They travel to East Machias to play Washington Academy on Saturday, January 11th at 3:30 p.m.

MDI is now 7-2. They will host Old Town on Tuesday, January 14th at 7 p.m. That game will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device with the pregame starting at 6:40 p.m.

MDI and John Bapst will meet in Bar Harbor on Saturday, January 18th at 4 p.m.
