Kenley Jansen struck out all three Atlanta hitters in the ninth inning as the LA Dodgers beat the Braves to advance to the NLCS. Jansen picked up his first playoff save - not bad for a guy who was a catcher for the Senior League World Series team from Curacao playing in Bangor back in 2003.

Jansen caught all four pool play games for Curacao, plus the semi-final game that his team lost at Mansfield Stadium. He has been spectacular as LA's closer -  28 saves in the regular season. In three games against the Braves Jansen pitched 2.1 innings with 7 K's, no runs allowed and one save.

Jansen is one of three former SLWS players in the 2013 MLB playoffs. Xander Bogaerts is a backup infielder with the Red Sox. He played in Bangor in 2009 for Team Aruba.

Kolten Wong is an infielder for the St.Louis Cardinals with two playoff at bats. Wong played for Hawaii at the SLWS in Bangor in 2007.
