John Bapst Beats Ellsworth 51-37

The John Bapst Crusaders played their first game Friday night, December 12th, after two postponements and went to Ellsworth and defeated the Ellsworth Eagles 51-37 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium.

John Bapst was paced by Grace Phillipon with 15 points. Phillipon went 11-16 from the free throw line. Crystal Bell had 12 points, hitting 4 3-pointers and Maegan True had 12 points as well, adding 3 3-points. The Crusaders went 7-14 from behind the 3-point arc, and shot 18-28 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth was paced by Hailee Langley, who had 12 points, and Emily Berry had 10 points. Ellsworth shot 12-27 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth plays host to Calais on Monday, December 15th at 7PM in a game that will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370 and WDEA Internet Radio. John Bapst plays host to Lee Academy on Monday, December 15th at 7 PM.
