Camden Hills standout senior Kristina Kelly has been named the National Player of the Year for high school girls by the United Soccer Coaches Association.

She is the first Maine player to ever win this award.

Kelly helped her Windjammers team win four consecutive Class A state championships. She scored 159 goals and had 58 assists along the way.

She will play her college soccer at Central Connecticut State University.

Kelly will accept the national honor on January 18th in Baltimore.

NOTE: Kelly had already been named All-State, All-Region and All-America earlier in the month by the Maine Soccer Coaches Association.
