Koch Leads Cedarville XC To NCAAs
Washburn's Carsyn Koch led her Cedarville University(Ohio) cross country team to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional and a spot in the NCAA Division II National Championship later this month.
Koch, who is now a junior, had the 9th best time (21:00) at the regional. The Yellow Jackets second place gets them into the nationals in Florida.
Cedarville won the G-MAC Conference title in October. Koch finished 2nd in that championship race.
Koch won multiple cross country titles in high school with the Wasburn Beavers.
Last year, Koch was the Division II national champion in the indoor and outdoor 800M event.
