The Red Sox lost in Toronto 5-0 on Saturday and may lose starting pitcher John Lackey to more arm issues. Lackey's grabbed his arm after delivering his 76th pitch of the day.

After the game, Lackey and skipper John Farrell called it a bicep issue. Perhaps a bicep strain or cramp in a location just above the elbow. He was making his first start since Tommy John surgery on that elbow.

It all happened in the fifth inning with one out. Lackey had given up just two runs and had eight strikeouts.

Lackey will have an MRI test when the club returns to Boston.

The Sox could manage only two hits on the day against Blue Jay pitching.

Boston is now 3-2 on the young season. After a Sunday game  in Toronto, the Sox return to Fenway for the home opener Monday afternoon.
