Boston Red Sox v Los Angeles Dodgers

Jon Lester allowed just 1 run on 3 hits to help the Red Sox beat the Dodgers 4-2 on Saturday. Lester went the first 7.1 innings to improve his record to 12-7. Boston's defense helped Lester out by turning three double plays. Koji Uehara closed out the game for his 13th save.

Mike Napoli and Jonny Gomes provided much of the offense with Napoli collecting 3 hits and driving in a run. Gomes blasted a 3-run homer to cap the scoring.

Xander Bogaerts entered the game in the 9th inning and delivered a single to right field for his first Major League hit.

Jake Peavy will pitch the series finale against Chris Capuano Sunday night. You can hear the game live at 7pm on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
