UMaine football has taken a nine place jump in the national FCS poll - up to 14th in the nation after Saturday's 62-28 romp over Delaware. Jack Cosgrove's Black Bears have an overall record of 5-1 and 2-0 in CAA conference play.

The 14th place ranking puts Maine as the second highest school in the CAA. Only 6-0 Towson is higher, at #3 in the national Sports Network Poll. There are five CAA teams in the top-25 poll.

Maine has a bye week ahead and then will host William & Mary on October 19th.
