
Mariners Win 4th Straight NAC V-Ball Title
Maine Maritime Academy is North Atlantic Conference volleyball champ for a four straight year. The Mariners defeated SUNY-Canton in straight sets Sunday afternoon to win the title and advance to the NCAA D-III playoffs.
MMA earned the #1 conference seed and host site with a 6-0 regular season record. Overall, the Mariners are now 24-3.
Sydney Adams was named Tourney MVP with 26 assists
NAC Player of the Year, Rachel Melampy, led the Mariners with 14 kills, seven digs and three aces.
NOTE: The Mariners will find out who they will meet in the first round when the NCAA D-III Selection Show airs at 12:30pm on Monday afternoon.
Shortly after the MMA volleyball win, the Mariners women's soccer team defeated UMaine Farmington 1-0 in the NAC Championship game.
The lone goal was scored by Kelsea Anair in the 66th minute.
The Mariners continue their best season in program history with their 13th win (13-4). The NCAA soccer selection show is Monday at 1pm.
