Just as the New England Patriots season was starting to head in the right direction, the team must move forward without their captain on defense and their starting runningback. Both Jerod Mayo and Stevan Ridley suffered season ending injuries in Sunday's win against the Bills. Ridley is said to have a torn ACL and MCL which will require surgery. While the specific injury sustained by Mayo has not been revealed, ESPN's Adam Shefter is reporting that the lower leg injury has been described to him as "bad".

The Patriots had to release an injury report on Monday because they play the Thursday night game this week against the Jets and the list is extensive. The team did not practice on Monday but is scheduled to be back on the field today.

You can hear Thursday's Patriots vs. Jets game live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
