The Red Sox have announced that Billy McMillon will return for a second year as manager of the Double-A Portland Seadogs. He led last year's team to a franchise best 88 wins and won Eastern League Manager of the Year.

McMillon has coached in the Sox system for seven years, including managing the Sox minor league teams in Salem and Greenville.

The Seadogs will have new hitting and pitching coaches. Dave Joppie returns as hitting coach. He has been in Pawtucket the last two seasons. He comes back to Portland while Rich Gedman moves from Portland to Pawtucket.

And the new Seadogs pitching coach is Kevin Walker. He replaces Bob Kipper who moves to Pawtucket pitching coach.
