MDI Girls 74 Caribou 34

The MDI Girls beat Caribou 75-34 on Friday night, January 23rd to remain undefeated at 14-0 and set up a match up with Presque Isle on Saturday afternoon at 1 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.

MDI jumped out to a 24-3 1st Quarter lead. Sierra Tapley had 8 points, Abbe Miller had 5 points including a 3-pointer, Sara Phelps had 4 points including a 3-pointer, Molly Carroll had 3 points, Darcy Kanu had 2 points and Kelsey Shaw had 2 points for MDI. Danielle Hanson had 2 points and Simona Amerro had 1 point for Caribou.

MDI was up by 30 points at the half, 44-14. Phleps had 6 points including a 3-pointer, Tapley had 4 points, Shaw had 3 points and Sara Norberg, Alie Bierman and Mariah Hamor each had 2 points. Bria Judd had 7 points including a 3-pointer, and Hanson had 4 points from the free throw line for the Vikings.

At the end of the 3rd Quarter, MDI was up 64-17. Tapley had 4 points, Haley Littlefield had a 3-pointer, Molly Carroll had 3 points, Hamor, Miller, Shaw, Phelps and Miller all had 2 points for MDI. Judd went 3-4 from the free throw line for Caribou's 3 points in the 3rd Quarter.

In the 4th Quarter, Bierman had 3 points for MDI, and Phelps, Shaw, Tapley and Cassidy Parady all had 2 points for the Trojans. For Caribou, Rachel Soucy had 4 points, Sara Boyer had 4 points, Samantha Lizotte had a 3-pointer, Hope Shea, Ashely Matlock and Judd had 2 points.

MDI was led by Sierra Tapley with 18 points and Sara Phelps had 14 points. MDI was 9-14 from the free throw line.

Caribou was led by Bria Judd with 12 points and Danielle Hanson had 6 points. The Vikings were 8-14 from the free throw line.

MDI now 14-0 plays Presque Isle Saturday, January 24th at 1 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA  and WDEA Internet Radio. Caribou, now 1-12 plays Ellsworth Saturday January 24th at 11:30 AM.
