MDI Softball Falls to Hermon 12-4

The MDI Softball team fell to the Hermon Hawks in Bar Harbor on Thursday, May 2nd by the score of 12-4.

Karli Therberge pitched a complete game for Hermon, allowing 4 runs, 3 of them earned and gave up 7 hits, while striking out 11 for the win. Haley Littlefield pitched 6 inning for MDI, taking the loss. She gave up 8 hits, 8 runs, 7 of which were earned and walked 4 while striking out 6. Hannah Shaw pitched the last inning for MDI allowing 1 hit, 4 runs, of which only 1 was earned while walking 3 and striking out 2.

MDI was plagued by errors in the game as they allowed 8 errors in the game. Hermon had 10 runners Left On Base, while MDI had 4. Karli Therberge had a double for Old Town, and Allessa Oakes had a triple. Deandra Kanu had a double for MDI.

With the loss MDI falls to 4-3 on the season. They travel to Dover-Foxcroft Saturday May 4 to play the Foxcroft Ponies at 4:30 PM. Hermon improves to 5-1, and next plays the Class C Central Red Devils in East Corinth on Saturday May 4th at 4 PM.
