Maine Maritime Academy volleyball and soccer teams got their seeding for the NCAA D-III Tournament. Volleyball is headed to Providence, RI while soccer is headed to Amherst, Massachusetts.

VOLLEYBALL: The NCAA Tournament begins with eight host pods across the country with eight teams in each pod.

Maine Maritime Academy, the North Atlantic Conference winner is being sent to the pod at Tufts University in Massachusetts. The (24-3) Mariners first round opponent will be (27-4)Johnson & Wales University of Providence, RI.

MMA is making its fourth straight appearance in the NCAAs.

The regional begins Friday night.

NOTE: Bowdoin College received an at-large bid to the NCAAs and will play in the same pod as MMA. The Polar Bears first round opponent is Endicott.

WOMEN'S SOCCER: Maine Maritime Academy is having its best season in program history with a 13-4 record. The NAC champion Mariners will be Amherst College in western Massachusetts for their first round game.

Amherst (14-3-1) is winner of the NESCAC Conference and will be making its 18th appearance in the NCAAs.

The match will be played on Saturday.
