13-yeard-old Mo'ne Davis starred for her Philadelphia Little League World Series baseball team in August. Today she is the Associated Press 2014 Female Athlete of the Year.

The award is from a vote of editors and news directors from across the country.

Davis became the first girl to win a LLWS game, a two-hitter against Nashville.

She is a honor roll student at her school and also plays basketball and soccer.

Davis becomes the youngest ever to win AP Female Athlete of the Year.
