What a game! The latest in the long, long history of Bruins vs Canadiens lived up to its billing with the Habs winning 6-5 in a shootout.

Montreal took at 2-0 lead. Boston came back to lead 4-2. Then the Canadiens scored two fluke goals, the last one with 8-seconds left in regulation to tie the game 4-4.

Nobody could score in OT and for a long while it didn't look like anyone would score in the shootout. In the 6th round of the shootout Brendan Gallahger beat Tuukka Rask and the Habs left the Garden with two points and a one point lead in the standing for first place.

The news got even worse for the Bruins a couple hours later in the night. The Jerome Iginla trade that was supposed to happen fell through. Calgary ended up trading him to the Pittsburgh Penquins.

The B's are back in action Saturday afternoon at 12:30 against Philly and Sunday night at 6:30 vs Buffalo. Catch both games live on SportsRadio 92.9TheTicket - your home for Boston Bruins hockey.
