The Bangor Comrades legion baseball team will join the Brewer Falcons in the upcoming Maine State Tournament thanks to an 11-1 win over the Trenton Acadians Saturday night.

Now Bangor and Brewer will play today to determine which team will be Zone 1 champion and which team will be runner-up. Brewer needs only one win to claim the title. Bangor would need to beat Brewer twice.

The zone champ plays at 10am Wednesday morning vs Post 188 (Eliot-Kittery) in the first game of the state tournament.

The zone runner-up plays South Portland at 6:30pm Wednesday.

The 8-team state touurnament will be played that the John Winkin Complex at Husson University in Bangor from Wednesday through Sunday.

In the Saturday night win for Bangor over Trenton, Peter Kemble pitched a four-hitter. The Comrades are now 18-3.
