The Narraguagus girls on Friday punched their ticket to the Class C regional final after dispatching with the Dexter Tigers at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

The No. 3 Lady Knights' pressing defense gave No. 2 Dexter trouble the entire game, limiting the Tigers' offense and helping Narraguagus secure a 39-24 victory.

Dexter's 6'1" center, Megan Peach, found herself in early foul trouble and on the bench for much of the first half. The junior's absence allowed Narraguagus to build a lead, one they never surrendered.

Senior center Kelli Kennedy led the Knights with 16 points. Freshman Kylee Joyce added 9.

Kaitlyn Weber led Dexter with 7 points. Peach and Katherine Batron each added 6.

The Knights were last in the regional title game in 1992 when they lost to Schenck. Narraguagus has never won a regional championship.
