13 women and 17 men will compete in the Annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest today, July 4th at 11 AM in Coney Island New York! Yesterday, the top 4 favorites weighed in at New York City Hall.

The two favorites on the men's side are Joey Chestnut, the defending champion, who has won the competition 7 times and  who ate 69 hot dogs in 10 minutes to set the record, and 22-year-old Matt Stonie, who finished second last year. Chestnut is hoping to eat 72 this year.

On the women's side, it's expected to be a battle between Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas who will defend her title against Miki Sudo. Last year Thomas ate 36 3/4 hot dogs in 10 minutes. This year she's hoping to devour 45.

The winner receives the mustard championship belt and $10,000.
