NHL Winter Classic: Fenway Or Gillette?

Is the NHL bringing another Winter Classic Outdoor Game back to Boston for 2016? League and ESPN sources say Beantown is the leading candidate.

The question is - would the game be played again at Fenway Park or would it be held at Gillette Stadium?

There is considerable discussion the NHL may try the Foxboro Stadium this time.

Back in 2010, the Winter Classic Game at Fenway between the Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers was a big hit. The B's won the game in overtime.

Fenway has also held college hockey Frozen Fenway events.

Bruins president Cam Neely says he has told the league that the Bruins would love to host another Winter Classic.
