Maybe the Bruins had an early Thanksgiving because it looked like they were playing under the influence of tryptophan in a 6-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings.Former Maine Black Bear Gustav Nyquist had a big hand in the win by getting an assist on the Henrik Zetterberg goal that made it three nothing in the second period. He then scored his third goal since being called up this week to cap the Wings scoring. Detroit is playing without two of their best players and is the reason Nyquist was called up form the AHL. After the game coach Mike Babcock praised his efforts saying "Nyquist has come and given us another real good player, so that we'd have a better team since he's here."

After the Nyquist goal Jerome Iginla put the puck past Jonas Gustavsson for their only goal of the game. In fact, the Bruins made it easy on Gustavsson only putting 17 shot on goal the entire game. The six goals allowed is the most by the Bruins this season.

The Bruins return to the ice on Friday at 1pm when they host the New York Rangers at the Garden. You can hear the game live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
