Popovich Gets NBA Win #1000 [VIDEO]

Add San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich to the 1,000 win club. It happened last night after his Spurs beat Indiana 95-93. Only Phil Jackson and Pat Riley reached the mark quicker in the NBA.

Popovich has all 1,000 wins with the Spurs. His record is 1,000-462 in 19 years.

There are several Maine connections with Popovich - he has a summer home on the coast of Maine. His top assistant coach in former UMaine Black Bear captain Jim Boylen and his former top assistant is current 76ers head coach Brett Brown, a former South Portland HS standout.
