Can the MCI Huskies make it a three peat? Or, can the Dexter Tigers win the title in their first trip to the Class D LTC championship in 25 years?

It's title night in Pittsfield and Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket and has live coverage beginning at 7pm.

Coach Tom Bertrand's MCI team has not lost a game in the LTC in two years. The Huskies feature senior quarterback Josh Buker who has thrown 14 TDs and rushed for 6 more. There are plenty of other guys who can run to paydirt too - Willie Moss, Eli Bussell, Adam Bertrand and Pedro Matos. The fastbreak offense racked up 350 YPG during the regular season.

Dexter goes with co-coaches Andy Shorey and Brian Salsbury. The Tigers last championship game appearance was 1991. Dexter earned its way to the title game with a 7-2 regular season and then went to Orono and beat the Red Riots in the semi-final last week. Senior QB Brayden Miller leads the attack, throwing 16 TDs. Zach White, Tyler Beem, Chandler Perkins and Brandon Allen provide plenty of offensive help. The Tigers averaged 312 YPG.

The Class C North Regional final takes place in Bar Harbor. The #1 MDI Trojans host the #3 Winslow Black Raiders. Both teams are 7-1.

Interestingly enough, Winslow beat MDI during the regular season 40-20 in week three.

The Black Raiders are the only team left in any class that won a state title a year ago.

The Class B North title game takes place in Brunswick. The Dragons host the Brewer Witches in a re-match of last year's PTC championship.

Top ranked Brunswick is 9-0. The Witches are 8-1 and the only loss was week 6 against the Dragons.
