In their first meeting of the season the Montreal Canadiens used the goaltending of Carey Price to beat the Boston Bruins 2-1.Price stopped 32 shots while picking up his 13th win of the season. The lone Boston goal came in the first period from Greg Campbell giving Boston the lead at the first intermission. The Habs would then score two goals in the second period including the game winner from Max Pacioretty.

Bruins played nearly the entire game a defenseman short after Johnny Boychuk was taken off the ice on a stretcher less than five minutes into the first period. He was taken to the hospital and received clearance to travel with the team.

The win moves Montreal one point ahead ahead of Boston for the top spot in the Atlantic division. The Bruins return to the Garden Saturday night for a game against Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins. You can hear the game live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
