First it was the Skowhegan field hockey streak. Now it's the Bangor Christian soccer streak. Both long winning streaks have come to a halt. Saturday afternoon PVHS from Howland knocked off the Patriots 2-1 and that ends Bangor Christian's win streak at 64.

Grant Doane scored a goal late in the goal for the Howlers. PVHS is now 2-1-1.

Bangor Christian is now 3-1.

Last fall, the Patriots became the first boys team to win five straight state titles. They had beaten Sumner, Katahdin and Schenck early in this season.

PVHS plays PCHS next on Wednesday. Bangor Christian meets Deer Isle-Stonington on Tuesday.
