Rain and Wind Causing Power Outages and Driving Issues

The rainy weather is causing headaches across the region, including for more than 8,000 Emera Maine customers who are currently without power. Crews are working to turn the lights back on.

Emera Maine reports that the majority of the outages are in Hancock County, but the effects are reaching into Bangor and Burlington. To report an outage, call (207) 973-2020 or 1-855-EMERA-11 or 1-855-363-7211.

The heavy rain and high winds have caused the damage that knocked out the power. Crews are out in the nasty weather, repairing the damage. And we appreciate them!

The storm is also causing some issues with driving this morning. Branches and leaves have been blown across roads, and there's standing water all over the place. Keep your eyes open this morning and give yourself enough time to slow down in some areas.
