Rams Fall In Final Minute 21-14

Two teams desparate for a win battled at Cameron Stadium Saturday afternoon and it was Massabesic scoring in the final minute to beat Bangor 21-14.

The win moves the Mustangs to 1-6 while the Rams fall to 0-7.

Bangor took a 14-0 lead in the first half on two short touchdown runs by junior Alex Yakubu.

But Massabesic scored in the final minute of the first half on an 8 yard touchdown run by quarterback Nick Roberge.

The Mustangs tied the game 14-14 in the final minute of the third quarter on a Roberge to Issac Desvergnes 17 yard TD pass.

The game winner came with 45-seconds left in the game - another Roberge to Desvergnes pass, this one good for 49 yards.

Roberge was 9-for-23, 145 yards and two TDs passing and ran for 32 yards and a TD.

Yakubu led the Rams with 127 yards rushing to two TDs.

The Rams finish the season next week at Windham. The Mustangs plays Deering.
