A night of momentum shifts at Red Barry Gymnasium as Edward Little HS held on to beat Bangor 66-64 in a KVAC Class A  battle.

The win puts the Red Eddies at 3-0 and leaves the Rams at 1-2.

EL got the best of the play in the first half, leading 20-13 after one quarter and 35-24 at the half.

But a different story in the third quarter. Bangor outscored EL 22-10 with the help of 6 three-pointers. The Rams led 46-45 after three periods.

Edward Little regained the lead in the fourth only to see Bangor come back down the stretch.

In the final seconds both teams missed free throws - EL with a chance to put the game away and Bangor with a chance to tie the game.

The Red Eddies hang on and win 66-64.

EL was led in scoring by Lew Jensen with 25 and Ian Mileikis with 22.

Bangor got 13 from Justin Smith, 12 from Ethan Dorman and 11 from Andrew Hillier.
