The Boston Red Sox lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 2-1 on Friday afternoon, evening  their Spring Training record to 5-5 while Toronto improved to 9-1. Red Sox knuckleballer, trying to make the big league club, pitched a stellar4 innings, allowing no runs, and just 3 hits while striking out 1 and walking 1.

The Red Sox managed only 7 hits, 2 by Allen Craig who was playing first base. Mookie Betts and Rusney Castillo each had singles.

Sam Travis stroked a home run for the Red Sox in the top of the 9th to tie the score before Toronto scored in the bottom of the10th inning to win the game.

The Red Sox are back in action Saturday afternoon at 1 PM against the Florida Marlins in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA. Henry Owens is expected to start, his 3rd of the Spring.
