Police are calling the death of a man in Houlton a homicide. Police now say the man's body was discovered by a friend who had found his truck in a snowbank about a half mile from his home. They've released the name of the man but not the manner in which he died.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said in a press release that State and Houlton Police are investigating the discovery of the man's body inside a mobile home on Hillview Avenue in Houlton late Sunday night. The man has been identified as Keith Suitter, age 61. Suitter lived alone at the home.

Police say the investigation started when a friend came across Suitter's pickup off the road, in a snowbank, about a half mile from his house. The friend went to the mobile home where he found Suitter's body.

Detectives are asking for help from anyone who saw Suitter over the weekend or his pickup truck, which is a red Ford F-150. The truck will be taken to the State Crime Lab and an autopsy on the body is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday. Anyone with any information is asked to call the State Police Barracks in Houlton at 532-5400.
