The search continues for Burton in the Parkman and Guilford areas. It's believed he's still hiding out in the dense forests of the region, something he has done before to try and elude police.

Burton hasn't been seen since he was spotted in the woods on June 19th in Guilford. A man fitting Burton's description stepped out onto a snowmobile trail wearing camouflage clothing and carrying a backpack. When he realized he'd been spotted by a local resident, he disappeared back into the woods.

Family and friends have set up two gofundme accounts - one to raise money to help in the care of victim Stephanie Ginn Gebo's two young children - and the other to fund a reward for the person who provides information that leads to Burton's arrest. Gebo left behind two children, 13-year-old Sidney, and 10-year-old Connor. It's important to note that the reward is not being offered by police, but by Gebo's loved ones.

Robert Burton has a long history of domestic violence, including breaking into another former girlfriend's parents' camp and hiding in the bathroom, waiting for her to show up. When her mother arrived first, Burton choked and threatened her with a rifle. Residents are reminded that Burton continues to be considered armed and dangerous. They're urge to keep homes, outbuildings, camps, and vehicles locked. And if they see something suspicious, they should call 911 immediately.
