The Boston Bruins scored eight seconds into the game. The Bruins led 3-1 in the first period. The B's eventually lost to the Detroit Red Wings 6-5. What a whacky game...

Brad Marchand set franchise history with that goal just eight seconds into the game - the fastest B's goal to start a game. It was his 28th of the season and his 13th and his last 13 games.

Bu the skill players of the Red Wings took over. Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg both had two goals and an assist.

Tuukka Rask was chased from the game after giving up five goals.

The win moves the Wings one point ahead of the B's in the standings, into second place in the division. The Bruins fall to 30-20-6 and the season's longest roadtrip is half over with three games left.
