Former UMaine goalie Scott Darling saved the Chicago Blackhawks bacon Wednesday night in a 4-3 double overtime win in the first game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Darling relieved Corey Crawford after one period because Nashville scored three goals on 12 shots.

The Blackhawks got back in the game and eventually won it in two OTs. Darling stopped all 42 shots he saw.

Now the question in Chicago is - who starts game two? Coach Joel Quenneville says he will decide today.
