Seadogs lefty starter Henry Owens may be the next one to get a promotion from the Red Sox.

An already impressive Double-A season at Portland got even better last night - eight innings of two-hit ball. Owens had six strikeouts and just two walks.

The Seadogs beat Erie 5-1 and now have a 39-20 record.

The 21-year-old Owens is now 7-3 with an ERA of 2.24, 74 strikeouts, 32 walks. Eastern League hitters have a .170 batting average against him.

NOTE: Red Sox lefty Felix Doubront will get the start Thursday night at Hadlock Field in Portland. His first rehab appearance since going on the DL with shoulder issues.
