Single Car Crash Kills Passenger and Injures Driver

Two and a half hours into the new year, Bangor suffered its first fatal accident of 2015. A woman was killed and man injured in a single car crash at around 2:30 a.m.

Bangor Police Deputy Chief Brad Johnson said in a press release that the accident happened in front of 368 Finson Road. The male driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The female passenger died at the scene.

Police have not released the identities of the two involved, pending notification of family. Bangor Police and Bangor Fire responded to the scene and the road was expected to be closed for a couple hours while they reconstructed the accident and cleared the scene.
