A year ago lefty high school pitcher Trey Ball was the #1 draft pick of the Red Sox. They took the Indiana kid with their #7 overall pick...So, who will the first round pick this year?

The Sox have the #26 pick this year and an added pick at #33 for losing free agent Jacoby Ellsbury.

The MLB amateur draft gets underway Thursday night at 7pm.

As for Trey Ball...he is pitching in Single-A Greenville. His record is 1-4 with an ERA of 6.84. Ball has pitched 25 innings with 16 K's and 11 walks.

Keep in mind, Ball turns 20-years-old later this month.
