The Red Sox had two leads on David Price and the Tampa Bay Rays but the bullpen couldn't hold on, allowing the Rays a 6-4 win in the series opener.David Price was strong for the Rays striking out 10 over eight innings, but Jon Lester was equally impressive fanning 7 Rays over six innings and left the game with a 3-2 lead. The Ray feasted on the Sox bullpen in the 7th inning by getting a run off Andrew Miller and three more off Junichi Tazawa.

Its the fourth straight loss for Boston who sends John Lackey to the mound in Saturday's game.
