Red Sox knuckleballer Steven Wright had his worst start of the year and the bullpen did not do its job. The result, a 7-6 loss to the Houston Astros and the end to a five game win streak.

After the Sox grabbed a 5-1 lead, Wright gave up five runs in 4.1 innings.

Then Matt Barnes came on and gave up a 2-run homer to his former UConn teammate George Springer that gave the Astros the lead for good.

The Sox collected 11 hits. Jackie Bradley Jr. had three of them to extend his hitting streak to 19-games. Travis Shaw hit a home run.

The Sox fall to 22-14 and one game behind the O's for first place in the AL East.
