A last minute drive to tie the game fell short and the Pittsburgh Steelers held on to beat the New England Patriots 17-10. The Pats out of the #2 seed in the AFC and could very well be playing on Wild Card Weekend.

This was the last thing the Patriots needed coming off the 'miracle in Miami' game last week. The team falls to 9-5, behind Houston for the #2 seed. And, they are 3-5 on the road.

Way too many penalties. Lack of offense. The defense gave up 158 yards of rushing to players not named Le'Veon Bell or James Connor.

Take your pick.

The Patriots had 14 penalties for 106 yards. The Steelers committed four.

Some guy named Jaylen Samuels for Pittsburgh rushed for 142 yards.

Two times the Patriots were in the red zone in the fourth quarter - one time it ended with a Brady interception and then the second time was at the end of the game when three pass plays fell incomplete.

The Patriots return home to Foxboro for the final two games against the Bills and Jets. They no longer control the #2 seed/bye because if Houston wins out, they get the seed.
