After a three week hiatus, NASCAR driver Tony Stewart will return to competition this weekend in Atlanta. It will be his first race since the accident in upstate New York when Stewart struck and killed Kevin Ward Jr. during a sprint car race. Stewart has been in seclusion since that August 9th night.

The Ontario County sheriff office says the investigation into just what happened that night continues.

Stewart has won 48 NASCAR races and is a three time series champion.

He currently sits in 35th place in the driver standings.
