Even though the Sox have been eliminated from the playoffs and have entered the off-season, the team still has some players getting ready for the 2018 season.

The Sox have 23 players in fall baseball right now in various leagues, including the Arizona Fall League, and leagues in the Dominican Republic and Mexico.  Among the 23 players, seven of the members are playing in Arizona, including prospect Michael Chavis, Ty Buttrey, Henry Owens, Chad De La Guerra, Josh Tobias, Kevin McAvoy, and Bobby Poyner.

Both Blake Swihart and Sam Travis are playing in the Dominican Republic, and Bryce Brentz is participating in the Mexican Fall League as well.  In one game, Swihart is hitting .333 and has logged an RBI, while Owens struggled in his first appearance of the season, surrendering four runs in an inning.
