What happens when four friends take a road trip to see one of the most popular PGA tournaments of the year? Turns out; a whole lot.

Martin Kaymer shot a one-under par 69 on Sunday to win the 2014 U.S. Open golf championship at Pinehurst in North Carolina in dominant fashion.

The Camp Capella Benefit Golf Tournament sponsored by Maine Oxy will happen on Sunday, June 29th at the Lucerne Golf Course! Grab the clubs and golf for a great cause!

In the course of a year, I usually play in two or three charity golf scrambles. They are fun events that raise money for some great causes. Believe it or not, until this year I had never participated in an open scramble, which many area courses host on a weekly basis (along with couples scrambles and senior scrambles).

As I mentioned in a previous blog entry, “Driving for Show,” this Saturday, May 3, Pine Hill Golf Course is hosting a qualifier for the ReMax Long Drive Championship. The competition is open to all as there are different categories for men and women and different ages. All you need to do to participate is show up at Pine Hill in Brewer between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., register, and compete.
