Brad Marchand becomes a 100 point player. A 6-2 win on the road at Columbus. A Toronto loss meaning home ice advantage for the playoffs. It was a heck of a night for the Boston Bruins.

Everything broke right for the Bruins. Most importantly, the race for the #2 spot in the division is over with two games to play in the regular season. When the B's meet the Maple Leafs starting next week in a best-of-seven series, the first two games are at Boston Garden.

The B's dominated the Blue Jackets last night, scoring six times. Two goals from Jake DeBrusk plus a goal and assist from Marchand. That makes him the first 100 point guy for the Bruins since Joe Thornton in 2002-03.

Marchand now has 37 goals and 63 assists. He joins a club that includes just 10 Bruins players - Thornton, Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito, Johnny Bucyk, Ken Hodge, Joe Juneau, Rick Middleton, Adam Oates and Barry Pederson.

NOTE: The Bruins finish the regular season Thursday night at Minnesota and Saturday afternoon at Boston Garden vs Tampa Bay. Both game are live on Sports Radio 92.9 The TIcket.
